Product Design
DDERT is made up of three interrelated components.
| Collector |
The Collector resides on one server and polls the
designated servers for events at selected intervals of time. The
Collector run as a service on the server. |
| Configurator |
The Configurator resides on the same server as the
Collector and is used to install/uninstall and starts/stops the
Collector service. It also manages the servers that are polled and
manages logging preferences. |
| Monitor |
The Monitor views the events that are collected in
the database. With the Monitor, filters are created and managed to
customize how events are viewed. |
DDERT works with any number of servers* and is billed at a single price so
you do not have to worry about per server pricing.
*Testing has shown a practical limit of 12-15 servers.
